I was able to visit a friends town to do a seminar on stereotypes and diversity. It went really well. So well I am
going to be having a very similar seminar in my town in May.
While I was visiting my friends town, they asked me to partake in the town Ping Pong tournament. I took 3rd place in the town. I graciously accepted the medal.
The sponsors of the tournament brought the Mongolian 12 and under national champions. These kids were good. Really good. Embarrassingly good.

This is my friend Romain. His favorite crepe was one filled with a fried egg, butter, and Parmesan cheese.
I filled one of my crepes with bananas and chocolate. As you can see we also had cucumbers  and Mongolian Mozzarella cheese in olive oil and spices.

After a big brunch, we took a hike to one of my favorite places.
After the hike up the mountain, I was brutally thrown down the mountain where a snow  fight would soon incur.

The look of a warrior going into snow battle.
Nobody played fair. In fact, those French played quite dirty.
I obviously didnt stand a chance.

After a while, we had to stop and make a fire to warm up. We made one on the bank of the river. But then we made one on the river to see if we could melt a hole. It didnt work. Complete failure.
The next evening, my good friend Tsoodol took us out to his ger to allow my friends to see the amazingly beautiful countryside of Mongolia.

I got to show my friends how to successfully catch the goats and not get kicked in the shins or take a horn to the groin region.
Every time I feed the cows, I cant help but get hungry for steak. I would take at least a burger.
Ive been really trying to get some amazing panarama pictures. This one is one of my favorites I took while we were out in the countryside that night.

Another evening upon my mountain top. Its always so breathtaking that you forget how cold it is.

Yes. Skiing in Mongolia. Its by no means what we would consider quality skiing. But its the only ski resort in Mongolia.
A few of my Expat friends that I hang out with on the weekends. 5 People. 5 different countries. 5 perspectives. 5 times the fun.
A panarama over looking the Zaison Memorial statue and the capital city Ulaanbataar.
... I was so confused on which door to enter until I saw the picture of the man peeing. Thanks bathroom signs in Mongolia for teaching me.

I posted this because my friend that took this swears he is a great photographer and I am trying to build his confidence. And because my mom said I needed to have a few pictures of the person that is usually behind the camera.
This is my main man Col. Enkbataar. He gave a speech to his men before their units annual competition. This guy is the man. One of the best Mongolian friends I could have asked for. He has made my life so much easier.

One of the first teams to run the 10k course lined with 6 separate stations in the mountains that must be completed before moving on.

My students also partook in a Military competition. The first round was a marching competition.

The second round was a relay race of different stations. Disassemble a rifle and reassemble.

On to the crawling section...

...
On to the gas mask assembly... and others.

These were our students that competed with the Soldiers who graciously gave their time to help the students learn and prepare the drills.

There was a band that performed when the teams crossed the finish line. But when they abandoned their instruments, it set me up for quite the artistic photo.
All the Mongolian people looked at me like I was an idiot. But what I saw through my lens intrigued me.

This was a rough morning teaching. But this is what I look like teaching.

And this is what my students look like when I teach... HAHA. Classic.

This celebration was for "Mens Day". We were given awards from the female teachers for what they think of us. I got the award for "Most Handsome". Thank you ladies. Thank you.
I had to do the yearly dormitory photo of all the students that live in the dorms. My little man is in 1st grade and  the only English he knows is "HELLO". You better believe he goes out of his way everyday to say "HELLO" about 5 to 8 times everyday. He deserves his picture taken.
